You’re going to love this delicious licuado de platano (banana milkshake).
It’s healthy, delicious and best of all super easy to make!
So if you have some ripe bananas sitting around that you don’t know what to do with, you should totally make this licuado.
Me and my family are absolutely obsessed with banana milkshakes.
They are just too delicious!
I tend to buy a lot of bananas.
Along with some leftover atole de avena they are a quick and easy breakfast.
Eventually they end up getting brown spots and that’s when they get made into a licuado.
The more brown spots they have on them the better for this recipe.
Ripe bananas are naturally sweet so the sugar in this recipe is totally optional.
I tend to like my shakes just a tad bit sweeter so I add a bit of sugar.
You most likely already have all the ingredients needed to make this shake in your kitchen.
All you need is ground cinnamon, Mexican vanilla blend, milk, sugar and of course bananas.
How to make a licuado de platano
Peel the bananas and break them off into pieces and add to the blender.
Then add the cinnamon, vanilla, sugar and milk.
Then blend the ingredients for about a minute or until smooth.
This will make enough for four small glasses or two tall glasses.
I make this a lot for my kids and nephew so I usually serve it in four small glasses.
One is for me. I always end up wanting more though.
I like adding a bit more of ground cinnamon to the shake after serving.
It looks pretty that way don’t you think?
If you like banana milkshakes then you’ll most definitely enjoy my banana agua fresca.
Agua frescas are especially great during the hot summer months.
I really hope you enjoy this easy and yummy recipe.
