Tacos de Camaron (Shrimp Tacos)

These delicious tacos de camaron are super easy to make and can be ready and on the table in less than 30 minutes! If you like these shrimp tacos you’ll have to try tuna tacos next!

At my house we love tacos! Whether they’re chicken taquitos, potato taquitos or tuna tacos. They’re all so yummy and easy to eat!

Who doesn’t love tacos? And the best part about tacos is that they can be filled with whatever you want.

Ingredients needed

This recipe requires very few ingredients. All you need are raw shrimp (I use peeled and deveined with the tail off), blackened seasoning, crispy taco shells and oil.

How to make tacos de camaron

Rinse the thawed shrimp in a strainer. Then pat them dry with a paper towel. Season the shrimp with the blackened seasoning and set aside.

Now it’s time to make the crispy taco shells.

Heat up the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot add the shrimp. I did this in two batches so that the shrimp wasn’t crowded. This will ensure even cooking. Cook the shrimp for 3 minutes.

Then flip them and continue to cook for another 3 minutes. Transfer the shrimp to a plate and repeat the above steps with the remaining batch of shrimp.

Start assembling the tacos. Garnish them with your favorite toppings such as pico de gallo or guacamole.

  • 20 oz raw shrimp peeled, deveined and tail off
  • 3/4 tsp blackened seasoning
  • 8 crispy taco shells
  • 2 tbs vegetable oil

Instructions

  2. Heat up the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot add the shrimp. Do this in two batches so the shrimp aren't crowded. Cook the shrimp for 3 minutes. Then flip them and cook for another 3 minutes. Transfer them to a plate.

  3. Repeat the above steps with the remaining batch of shrimp.

  4. Assemble the tacos and garnish with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
