Back when I was pregnant with my third baby I was obsessed with pink drinks.

Sometimes I even bought two in one day.

It quickly became a problem for me as the real pink drinks aren’t exactly cheap.

I knew I couldn’t indulge in them everyday so I tried making them at home.

I tried so many different recipes and they never turned out how I wanted.

The color was never right and the taste was always off.

I eventually came up with a recipe that I find quite delicious.

While it doesn’t taste exactly like the Starbucks drink it is pretty close!

How do you make a Starbucks pink drink at home?

It’s super easy and inexpensive to make your own pink drink at home. First you want to make sure you have all the ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • Bigelow Botanicals strawberry lemon orange blossom
  • Honey
  • Crystal Light wild strawberry drink mix
  • Welch’s passion fruit juice
  • Coconut milk
  • Freeze dried strawberries
  • Water

Fill a measuring cup with 12 oz of water. Then put one tea bag in the water and let it infuse for 8 minutes.

Then add honey to taste and stir. Then add the Crystal Light mix and stir.

Then pour the mixture into a larger cup and add the passion fruit juice and stir.

Get a glass and put some freeze dried strawberries on the bottom then add a little ice.

Then add a little more strawberry then more ice.

Alternate like this until you have your desired amount of ice and strawberries.

I like to do it this way because I noticed that the strawberries in the real pink drinks are spread out like this and they’re not all floating at the top.

Pour some of the juice into the glass not all the way full though because you’ll be adding the coconut milk after this.

Go for about 3/4 full.

Now pour in the coconut milk. The amount is up to you.

Not only is the pink drink delicious but it’s also so pretty! Just look at it. I love how it turns to that ombre pink once the coconut milk is added.

Do I have to use honey?

No, you don’t have to. I personally, like the taste of honey in my pink drink.

However, you can also use simple syrup. You can either buy it or make the simple syrup yourself.

If you make it yourself make sure it’s completely cooled down before you add it to the drink.

What if I can’t find the passion fruit juice

If you can’t find it that’s ok. You can substitute it with a white grape juice.

What kind of coconut milk do I use for a pink drink?

For this recipe you’ll want to use the kind of coconut milk that’s sold in a carton.

It has a lighter coconut flavor and a lighter texture than the canned coconut milk.

The best pink drink recipe

This is seriously the best homemade pink drink recipe I have ever tried.

Even my husband likes it! Anytime he finds out I made one he asks me why I didn’t make him one too.

To me this recipe tastes the closest to a real pink drink than any other recipe I’ve tried.

I highly suggest you give this recipe a try. I think you’ll like it just as much as we do!
