This fresas con crema recipe is one of the most delicious desserts ever! In English it’s known as strawberries and cream. Who can resist fresh and naturally sweet strawberries in an amazing cream sauce. I sure can’t, I’ll tell you that much. Can you?

I don’t even know which I like more the strawberries or the cream. This is my favorite summertime treat! You really need to give it a try. Luckily it’s super simple to make.

Ingredients

  • strawberries
  • evaporated milk
  • sour cream
  • sweetened condensed milk
  • Mexican vanilla

How to make strawberries and cream

First chop up your strawberries. Once that’s done we can start making the cream.

Put the sweetened condensed milk, sour cream and vanilla in a bowl.

Stir the mixture well to make sure there are no lumps.

Slowly add in the evaporated milk while stirring,

Add the strawberries. You can always add more strawberries. This is just the ratio of strawberries to cream that I like.

I like my strawberries to be swimming in the cream basically. Plus when the strawberries are gone the cream is even more delicious if that’s even possible.

Now I know it’s hard not to eat this right away but its way better if you chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least half an hour. It’s way better cold.
