How to Make Pan Seared Tilapia
In a bowl combine 1 tbs of olive oil with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked parika, oregano, thyme and basil. Mix well. Rub this mixture all over both sides of the tilapia fillets.
Heat up the remaining olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot add the filllets in batches and cook for about 4 minutes per side or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily. Transfer the cooked fish to a plate and repeat with the remaining fillets adding more oil to the skillet as needed.

- 2 1/2 lbs tilapia fillets
- 2 tbs olive oil more as needed
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
