Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbs tilapia fillets
  • 2 tbs olive oil more as needed
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of olive oil with the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, oregano, thyme, and basil. Mix well.

  2. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the tilapia fillets.

  3. Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add 2 fillets and cook for about 4 minutes. Flip and cook for another 4 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily.

  4. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining fillets, adding more oil to the skillet as needed.
