Fried egg and rice is the perfect go to meal for when you’re hungry but also short on time. It’s easy and can be customized with your favorite garnishes.

This is what I’ve been making a lot recently.
It’s really good, cheap and most importantly it’s fast!
I usually always have white rice in the fridge so all I have to do is heat that up while I fry my egg.
Fried Egg and White Rice Recipe Steps
It doesn’t take long for the egg to cook. So go ahead and have the white rice warmed up and ready to eat.
You’ll need about 1 cup of cooked white rice.
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat

When butter starts to sizzle crack in the egg.

Let the egg cook at least until the white is set.
I don’t like sunny side up eggs. I prefer mine over easy.
So I flip my mine and let it cook just a little bit longer. But not so long that the yolk is no longer runny. I do love runny yolk.
However you can cook your egg however you like.

I like toasted sesame seeds on my rice. It adds a nice flavor. You should give it a try.

Lay the fried egg on top of the rice. While I do prefer my eggs over easy I have to admit sunny side eggs look so much prettier.

I garnish mine with green onion and diced avocado. I also add some soy sauce.
This is really good y’all. Sometimes I eat it as a late breakfast or sometimes as dinner.
It’s really good anytime of the day.

You’ve got to try this super easy meal.
It takes just minutes to prepare assuming you have leftover white rice in the fridge. I usually do.
I hope you give it a try! You’ll love it!
