tuna mac and cheese on a blue plate

This recipe uses the good old stuff from your childhood. Blue box macaroni and cheese.

What’s funny is I didn’t even like this stuff growing up but I do now and so do my kids!

My sister always loved it though and now I see why.

I always buy a big box so it makes enough for my kids and I to have seconds or thirds.

While the blue box macaroni and cheese is good all on its own I really like adding stuff to it especially if I’m trying to make it a meal and stretch it out.

I’m finding it more important than ever these days to cook inexpensive meals for my large family.

And since we welcomed our daughter last year I prefer easy meals as there’s just not enough time in one day!

Today, I’ll be adding onion, celery and tuna to it to the macaroni and cheese.

Sometimes I like to add a small can of peas as that’s what my mom would do growing up and it was good.

There are so many possibilities with this yummy recipe.

  • blue box macaroni and cheese
