I am obsessed with pasta. Fettuccine alfredo is pretty amazing because it takes the most simplest ingredients and turns them into something out of this world amazing!
How to Make the Best Fettuccine Alfredo
First you’ll need to gather up all of the ingredients which include parmesan cheese, fettuccine, butter and heavy cream. You can find parmesan cheese at your local grocery stores such as Wal Mart of Kroger.
For this recipe I use one whole wedge of parmesan plus less than half of another parmesan wedge. So first things first grate the cheese and set it aside.

Now boil the pasta just to al dente. If there’s one thing I can’t stand it’s soggy pasta. So please be sure to not overcook the fettuccine. While the pasta is boiling Take out a pot and heat it over medium heat. Melt the butter in the pot and add in the heavy cream. Season it with lots of black pepper.

Add in about half of the grated parmesan cheese and stir.

Now remove the pot from heat. Once the pasta is done drain it and it to the pot of sauce. Top it with the remaining cheese. Toss it really well to make sure the pasta is coated in the sauce.

That’s it! See how quick and easy it is to make? I don’t use any salt other than for the pasta water in the recipe because the parmesan cheese is salty enough for me.
Best Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe
In my opinion this is the best fettuccine alfredo recipe ever! It’s quick, easy, indulgent and just everything you could ever want in a meal. This is an easy crowd pleasing recipe that you should definitely keep in rotation. It is best served immediately. If you heat it up in the microwave the next day it becomes greasy. I don’t let that stop me from enjoying the leftovers however. Thank you so much for reading, I truly hope you enjoyed the recipe!

Hurray for you! I've seen so many fettuccine alfredo recipies that are over complicated and contain things like cream cheese that are totally unnecessary.
I consider fettuccine alfredo one of the simplest meals one can cook. It's truely nothing but boiling noodles and making the sauce while the noodles cook. I recently mentioned making it to someone at work and I told them real simply. Boil noodles, in a separate pan melt butter, add cream, add cheese and drained noodles. She was shocked that it was that simple. The only difference is that I add a little garlic powder to my recipe when I'm melting the butter. Easy and delicious. Just add caesar salad...
