Watermelon agua fresca is a delicious and refreshing way to enjoy watermelon this summer! One of my favorite things about the summer time is making agua frescas. They can be made with pretty much any type of fruit. Watermelon is a great choice because its already made up of mostly water.

All you need for this recipe is watermelon. You can add sugar to sweeten up a bit if you wish but it is definitely not necessary. This agua fresca is a great way to use up watermelon that may not get eaten.

Agua frescas are very popular in Latin American countries and once you try one you’ll see why.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed watermelon

Instructions

  1. Place the four cups of watermelon in the blender and blend for a couple of minutes. You may add a little water to the blender if needed for proper blending.

  2. Strain the blended juice through a mesh strainer into ice filled glasses. 

  3. serve and enjoy!
