An authentic Mexican ham sandwich is made with a bolillo roll.

Bolillos are also used to make molletes and molletes dulces (sweet molletes).

I found a bag of four bolillo rolls at my local grocery store.

If you can’t find them you can substitute with french bread.

Or you can make your own bolillo bread at home.

Here is great recipe for it here.

Spread mayonnaise on both halves of bread. You can just spread it on one half if you prefer.

My husband likes both halves with mayonnaise. I prefer just one. What about you?
