How to make a Mexican ham sandwich
Slice the bolillo roll in half. Melt some butter in a skillet over medium high heat.
Toast the bolillo roll slices on each side for 20-30 seconds.
Toasting the bolillo rolls will give them a delicious buttery flavor and it will crisp up the bread a little.
Spread mayonnaise on both halves of bread. You can just spread it on one half if you prefer.
My husband likes both halves with mayonnaise. I prefer just one. What about you?
Spread some refried beans on one half.
Then top with some shredded lettuce and some slices of ham.
