Super Easy Mexican Rice Recipe

Today I want to show you how to make this super easy Mexican rice recipe! I love it because there’s no chopping involved. It is done in less than 30 minutes!

How to make super easy mexican rice

For this recipe you’ll need 1 1/2 cup white rice, 1 packet of sazon Goya with culantro and achiote, 2 tsp of chicken bouillon, 2 tbs of vegetable oil and 3 cups of water.

Here is a photo of the chicken bouillon I use. I always use the Knorr brand. The orange packet is the sazon Goya. This is what is going to give the rice it’s orange color.

Heat up the oil in a pot over medium heat. Then add the rice. You’re going to toast the rice over medium heat for about 5-10 minutes or until the rice turns a golden color as shown below.

Now that the rice is toasted go ahead and add the water, sazon goya and chicken bouillon. Stir and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Then reduce heat to low and cover. Cook for for 20 minutes.

When the rice is done fluff it with a fork. It should look like the photo below.

This easy rice is yummy alongside pinto beans. Rice and pinto beans are the perfect sides to go with any Mexican meal.

Super Easy Mexican Rice

This is the easiest Mexican rice recipe ever. It's ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup white rice
  • 1 Sazon Goya with culantro and achiote packet
  • 2 tsp chicken bouillon
  • 2 tbs vegetable oil
  • 3 cups water

Instructions

  1. Heat up oil in a pot over medium heat.

  2. Add the rice and toast for 5 to 10 minutes until its a golden color. Stir every now and then to prevent it from burning.

  3. Add the water, Sazon Goya and chicken bouillon. Stir and bring to a boil over medium high heat. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 20 minutes.

  4. Fluff with a fork and serve.
