This is a super easy recipe that’s made from ingredients you most likely already have in your kitchen.

Besides the chicken breasts you’ll need honey, mustard, salt, pepper, garlic cloves, onion and vegetable oil.

It’s the perfect chicken recipe for those busy weeknights when you need to get dinner on the table and quick!

How to make pollo en mostaza

The first thing I do is brine my chicken breasts. Gimme Some Oven has a baked chicken breasts recipe that shows you how to do this. I like to brine mine for at least 45 minutes.

While the chicken is brining mince the garlic cloves and cut the onion into thin slices.

After brining, pat the chicken breasts dry and cut them into cutlets. It’s like butterflying them but cutting all the way through. Set them aside.

Preheat the oven to 450.

Now that the chicken is ready it’s time to make the mustard sauce. Combine the honey, mustard, salt and pepper in a bowl and stir with a spoon until well combined.

Heat up a little oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot add the sliced onion and cook for 3-5 minutes until translucent. Then add the minced garlic and cook for a minute. Set aside.
