Easy Natural Air Freshener
This easy and natural air freshener will give your home a fresh and inviting scent. You probably already have everything you need to make it in your kitchen!
Oranges are one of my kids favorite foods.
They eat them everyday.
Instead of throwing the peels away I boil them on the stove and it makes my home smell wonderful.
The best part is it’s all natural so your family won’t be breathing in harmful chemicals.
I love that I get to use the whole orange.
It makes me feel less wasteful.
For a wonderful Fall inspired scent add cinnamon and cloves.
Your house will smell incredible!
In the photos I actually used mandarin oranges which are much smaller.
I used the peels of three mandarin oranges, half a cinnamon stick and 3 cloves.
Fill the pot with about 4 cups of water and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for a few hours.
This can simmer on low for a few hours but don’t forget to check on it every now and then.
If it gets low on water add a little more.
You can always just boil the orange peels without the cinnamon and cloves.
I also love the smell of orange by itself.
You can also boil lemon peels for a fresh clean scent.
Lemon peel with a vanilla bean would make an amazing scent for your home!
