Whole Wheat Tortilla
Delicious whole wheat tortillas made with butter
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 5 tbs melted butter
- 1 cup warm water
Instructions
-
In a stand mixer bowl combine the whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, salt and baking powder. Mix well.
-
While mixing slowly add the butter and water. Mix for about 3 min or until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let rest for 30 min.
-
Roll out the dough into 15 tortillas. Use a little all purpose flour to help roll them out if necessary.
-
Heat up a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, cook the tortillas one at a time for about a minute on each side. The tortillas should puff up. Transfer them to a clean kitchen towel and cover.
-
Serve and enjoy.
