Ramen has been popular in Japan for years, but it’s only recently become available in other parts of the world.
Tiktok Ramen is one of the easiest dishes to make at home when you feel like something flavorful but just don’t want to make a lot of effort to prep and chop up all the ingredients.
It’s a soup-less noodle dish similar to the Japanese Yaki soba or Malaysian Mie Goreng.
A pack of instant ramen is cooked without the flavoring packet.
Then the noodles are tossed in a sweet savory sauce made of garlic, butter, soy sauce and brown sugar that will surely elevate and personalize your instant noodle-eating experience.
I’m excited to share this TikTok ramen hack with you all today!
Ingredients needed
Instant Ramen – only the noodles will be used. Discard the flavoring packet
Egg – Use the freshest eggs, please.
Butter – Cooking with butter instead of oil makes our noodle sauce more flavorful. Remember that butter has a low- smoking point than other oils so make sure to taper your heat and minimize the cooking time.
Garlic – Minced fresh garlic, about 2 cloves. You can also use the bottle kind about 2 teaspoons.
Brown sugar – Brown sugar will balance the heat and flavor in this noodle dish.
Red chili flakes – We like heat in our dishes so we’re adding this to our Tiktok Ramen noodles.
Soy Sauce – This is the base of our noodle sauce. You can substitute regular soy sauce with low sodium variety, mushroom soy sauce, coconut aminos, or other gluten-free substitutes.
Green Onions – They’re also known as scallions. Chop them up to use as a garnish. We’ll add them at the end because they cook really fast and we want that crunch in our fork twirl of noodles. Green onions enhance the color, freshness, and flavor of our dish. You can substitute leeks or chives.
Everything Bagel seasoning – A sprinkle at the end adds an umami-like flavor to our noodle dish.
Sesame Oil – To drizzle our noodle dish at the final stage. This will lend a yummy nutty essence.
