Baking a ham is very simple. This ham is already cooked so all you have to do is heat it up and keep it from drying out. It’s the perfect dish for holidays and celebrations!

Doesn’t everyone just love a good ham? Ham is usually what my family makes on most holidays.
Making a ham is very easy. The only thing you really need to worry about is keeping it moist.
No one wants to eat dried out ham.
How to Bake a Ham Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325. Unwrap the ham and pierce it everywhere with whole cloves. I used about 30.
Also put pineapple slices between the slices of ham.

Then very carefully transfer the ham to a casserole dish as shown below.

Next cover the ham with foil. This will help keep the ham from drying out.

Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes per pound.
My ham was about 9 pounds so I baked it for 90 minutes.
I found this really amazing ham glaze from Sabrina at Dinner then Dessert. The ham should be glazed the last twenty minutes of baking.
Then return the ham to the oven uncovered and continue to bake for the remaining time.
Sabrina’s recipe uses orange juice but since this ham uses pineapple slices it’s totally ok to substitute with pineapple juice.
Glazing the ham is important as it adds extra flavor and gives it a beautiful shiny presentation.
