Cantaloupe Agua Fresca
Cantaloupe agua fresca or Agua de melon in spanish is a great way to use up cantaloupe before it goes bad. In fact I think I like it better in beverage form. It’s so much more delicious than I thought it would be. I don’t dislike cantaloupe but it’s not on my list of favorite fruits. However my husband loves it and is always buying more than he can eat.
So why not turn it into a delicious agua fresca? And that I did and I love the color! I love the aguas frescas using fruits like strawberries, watermelon, and limes. They always looks so pretty in photos.
The riper the cantaloupe the sweeter the agua fresca will be. So it’s a good idea to taste the agua before adding any sugar.
This is a great beverage for any get together or cookout. Kids love it too! But if you wanted to you could even turn it into an adult beverage. Just add your alcohol of choice. We usually do rum or tequila. Just so you know spiked agua de fresa is amazing!
