With my homemade queso dip recipe, you no longer have to leave the comfort of your home to get good queso dip.
This recipe taste just like the queso dip you get at good Mexican restaurants!
My favorite part of eating at a Mexican restaurant is always the queso dip.
However eating out for my family is very rare.
We tend to eat at home most of the time just because it can get expensive for a family of four.
So I always figured that queso dip was something I could only enjoy like twice a year.

Thankfully my husband who used to work in Mexican restaurants was able to let me in on what kind of cheese they use in the queso dips.
Don’t you always feel like its some kind of big secret as to what exactly this cheesy goodness is made of?
I know it’s cheese but I feel like nobody ever seems to want to say what kind of cheese exactly.
This recipe uses white american cheese and it is seriously delicious and addicting.
It WILL be hard to stop eating it.
This queso dip is just as good if not better than what you get at restaurants.
You can find white american cheese at the deli in your supermarket.
With a little added milk this dip will reheat just fine the next day.
This recipe does make a lot so feel free to halve it, it will still turn out great.

[…] This dip is so easy to make and pretty impossible to mess up. I’ve made it many times using only sharp cheddar cheese or only mozzarella. Both were absolutely delicious. However my favorite cheese to use is a combination of sharp cheddar and monterrey jack. I always grate the cheeses myself, it really does taste way better that way.
