Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbs unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Add the flour, salt and baking powder to a large bowl and mix well.

  2. Next add the melted butter. Start mixing with your hand while slowly adding the water.

  3. Knead for about 5 min and shape into a ball. Cover the bowl and let rest for 30 minutes.

  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal sized balls.

  5. Roll out the dough balls using a little flour if necessary.

  6. Heat up a skillet over medium heat. Cook the tortillas for about 1 minute on each side. The tortillas should bubble up as they cook.

  7. Wrap the cooked tortillas in a clean kitchen towel.

  8. Serve and enjoy.
