Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks salted butter softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbs vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Add the baking soda to the flour and mix well. Next add the softened butter and sugars to a stand mixer. Mix for a few minutes or until creamy.

  2. Stop the mixer and add the egg and vanilla extract and continue to mix for another minute.

  3. Stop the mixer and add the flour and baking soda to the mixer bowl and mix for 20 seconds.

  4. Then add the chocolate chips. Stop the mixer and scrape the sides of the bowl and make sure all the flour is incorporated into the dough.

  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a spoon to scoop out dough balls and place them on the baking sheet. I made 30 small dough balls.

  6. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Let the cookies rest for 10 minutes before enjoying!
