Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and butter. Once melted, add the diced onion and cook for about 7 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
Next, add the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika. Let everything cook together for a couple of minutes.
Stir in the rinsed jasmine rice and chopped broccoli. Then add the water and chicken base. Stir well and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it cook for 20 minutes.
Uncover and stir in the cheddar and parmesan cheese until fully melted and combined. Serve warm and enjoy!
