Delicious Asian inspired pork chops with a flavorful garlicky sauce
Mix black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and ground ginger in a small bowl. Season both sides of the pork chops with the seasoning. Place in a large baking tray.
In another bowl, mix brown sugar, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Pour over pork chops and coat well. Cover and marinate in the fridge for 2 hours.
Heat a stainless steel pan over medium. Add oil. Once the oil is hot add 3 pork chops to the pan. Sear for about 2 minutes per side or until nice and browned.
Transfer the browned chops to a plate and cover with foil. Repeat with the remaining chops adding more oil as needed.
If the pan is dry, add more oil. Sauté garlic for 1 minute.
Pour leftover marinade into the pan. Boil and cook for about 5 minutes.
Return pork chops to the pan and simmer a few minutes more.
Serve with jasmine rice (leftovers work great!). Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
