Espagueti Blanco

Espagueti blanco is a delicious Mexican recipe for spaghetti in a white sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 3 garlic cloves peeled and minced
  • 1/4 white onion grated
  • 2 tsp chicken bouillon
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened and roughly chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tbs butter
  • 1 cup thin sliced ham chopped

Instructions

  1. Add the cream cheese, milk, black pepper and chicken bouillon to a blender. Blend until smooth and set aside

  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the spaghetti noodles. Cook until al dente according to the directions on the box.

  3. While the spaghetti noodles are cooking, heat up the butter in a skillet over medium heat.

  4. Once melted add the grated onion and the minced garlic. Cook for one minute.

  5. Add the chopped ham to the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes.

  6. Next pour the white sauce into the skillet and give it a stir. Cook for about three minutes.

  7. Drain the spaghetti noodles and add them to the skillet. Toss the noodles to coat them evenly in the sauce.

  8. Remove the skillet from the heat.

  9. Serve and enjoy!
