Ingredients

  • 2 lbs taco meat I use diezmillo
  • 8 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 2 tbs vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Add the taco meat, minced garlic, diced onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, lime juice, and oil to a large bowl. Mix well.

  2. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the meat mixture and cook, stirring frequently, until all the liquid evaporates. This can take about 15 minutes.

  3. Once the fat starts to render, continue cooking the meat in its own fat, stirring often, until nicely browned.

  4. Serve with warm corn tortillas and your favorite salsa.
