Ingredients

  • 10 tomatillos peeled and rinsed
  • 1/4 of a white onion
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1/2 bunch of cilantro
  • 1 1/2 avocado peeled and sliced
  • 1 lime juiced
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Put the tomatillos, onion, garlic and jalapeño in a pan over medium heat.

  2. Pan-roast until everything is blackened in spots, rotating for even cooking.

  3. The garlic will be ready after about 5 minutes — remove and set it aside.

  4. Add enough water to the pan to cover the remaining ingredients.

  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 8–10 minutes. Remove from heat and discard the water.

  6. Add the peeled garlic, cilantro, avocado, lime juice, tomatillos, onion, and jalapeño to a blender. Blend until smooth.

  7. Pour into a bowl and season with salt to taste. Serve and enjoy!
