Cafe de olla

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 mexican cinnamon stick
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 2 oz piloncillo
  • 1/4 cup ground coffee

Instructions

  1. Add the water, cinnamon stick, whole cloves, and piloncillo to a pot.

  2. Heat over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the piloncillo fully dissolves.

  3. Add the ground coffee and stir.Let simmer for a few more minutes.

  4. Turn off the heat, cover, and let sit for about 5 minutes.

  5. Strain, serve, and enjoy.
