Ingredients

Ingredients for the Meat

  • 2 lbs beef stir fry meat
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tbs oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbs cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbs sesame oil

Ingredients For the Veggies

  • 1 onion chopped into small squares
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbs ginger grated
  • 2 tbs vegetable oil

Ingredients for the Slurry

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tbs rice vinegar
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef with all meat ingredients. Let sit 25 minutes.

  2. Heat oil over medium heat. Cook onion 3 minutes, then set aside.

  3. Add more oil if needed. Stir-fry beef for 3 minutes until browned. Do this in batches if needed.

  4. Add garlic and ginger. Cook 1 minute.

  5. Pour in slurry and stir until the sauce thickens and turns glossy.

  6. Return onions to the skillet and mix well.

  7. Serve over steamed jasmine rice and enjoy!
