Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup Maseca for tortillas
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 abuelita chocolate disk
  • 1 tbsp mexican vanilla

Instructions

  1. Add the maseca to a pot and slowly stir in the water until there are no lumps.
  2. Turn heat to medium high and stir in the milk.
  3. Add the cinnamon, sugar and chocolate to the pot and stir until chocolate is dissolved.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. stirring often.

  5. Add the vanilla and stir. Remove from heat.
  6. Serve.
