  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 orange peel
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 8 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp honey to taste
  • 2 tbsp milk optional


  1. Pour the water into a pot and add the orange peel, cinnamon stick and whole cloves to the pot.

  2. Bring the water to a boil over medium high heat.

  3. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 7 minutes.

  4. Remove the pot from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes.

  5. Discard the tea bags, cinnamon stick, orange peel and whole cloves.

  6. Add the vanilla extract and stir.

  7. Let the tea cool a bit before serving.

  8. Sweeten with honey to taste and add a splash of milk if desired.
