Bistec a la Mexicana (Mexican style steak) is a super delicious meal that doesn't take long to make. Give it a try!
Slice and chop the veggies. Then thinly slice the steak. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
Heat up 2 tbs oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
When the oil is hot add the steak in batches so as to not crowd the skillet. Cook the steak for one minute on each side. Transfer the steak to a plate.
Add the other batch of steak to the skillet and cook for one minute on each side. Transfer the steak to a plate.
Heat up another tbs of oil in the skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and jalapeno. Saute for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Now add the garlic and tomatoes. Saute for another 5 minutes or until the tomatoes have softened.
Next add the steak back to skillet. Stir. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes so the flavors can combine.
Remove from heat and let rest before serving as it is hot.
