Ponche Navideño

Ponche navideño is a Mexican Christmas punch that both kids and adults will enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 3 apples diced
  • 2 cups pineapple chopped
  • 1 orange peeled
  • 2 oz pitted prunes
  • 14.5 oz canned pears
  • 32 oz fruit punch jar
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 oz piloncillo
  • 1 gallon water

Instructions

  1. Put the piloncillo and canela in a pot. Cover it with the gallon of water and bring to a boil. Boil for about 10 -15 minutes or until the piloncillo has dissolved.

  2. While the water is boiling dice and chop the apples and pineapple.

  3. Add the apples and pineapple to the water. Then add the orange, pitted prunes, canned pears and the fruit punch to the water.

  4. Stir and cover. Let simmer on low for about one hour.

  5. Ladle the punch into mugs making sure to include the pieces of fruit.

  6. Serve. Once the punch has cooled down any leftovers and can be stored in the refrigerator.
