Atole de vainilla is a delicious hot Mexican beverage similar to champurrado.
Add the masa harina to a pot and slowly stir in the water until there are no lumps.
Turn heat to medium high and add the cinnamon stick and stir in the milk.
Add the brown sugar to the pot and stir until dissolved.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 8 more minutes stirring often.
Remove the pot from heat. Stir in the vanilla.
Let cool before serving as it's hot.
