Hard taco shells are very easy to make. They can be made in less than 10 minutes.
Pour 1 cup of corn oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Once oil is hot and sizzling place a tortilla in the oil.
Let the tortilla fry for a couple of seconds.
Using a pair of tongs gently fold the tortilla over. Keep the tortilla open by holding the top part with the tongs. Fry for about 25 seconds.
Flip the tortilla to the other side and fry for 25 seconds as well.
Transfer to a paper towel lined plate and fry the remaining tortillas.
