Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbs cheese shredded
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Crack the eggs in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Beat with a fork for a minute or two.

  2. Heat up the butter in a skillet over medium high heat. Make sure the butter coats the entire surface of the skillet.

  3. Once the butter has melted and is sizzling add the eggs to the skillet.

  4. Tilt the skillet slightly all around so that the runny eggs in the middle run toward the edge of the skillet.

  5. Let the eggs cook for about 40 seconds or until it's mostly set.

  6. Once most of the omelet has set and there's very little runny egg left on top go ahead and add the shredded cheese to one side of the omelet.

  7. Fold the omelet. Do this by using a spatula to gently lift up the side of the omelet without cheese and flipping it closed.

  8. Transfer the omelet to a plate and serve.
