Ingredients

  • 2 plantains peeled and sliced
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil.

Instructions

  1. Heat cast iron skillet over medium heat and add oil.
  2. Once oil is hot add the plantains but don't crowd the pan.
  3. Fry for a couple of minutes or until the bottomed is caramelized.
  4. Flip the plantains over and fry for a couple minutes more until caramelized.
  5. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate to drain.
  6. Repeat process with remaining plantain slices.
  7. Serve.
