Ingredients

  • 7 tomatillos
  • 3 serrano peppers
  • 1/2 small white onion
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro
  • juice of 1/4 of lime or to taste
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot cover the tomatillos and serrano peppers with water bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for about 10 minutes or until tomatillos are softened.
  3. Transfer tomatillos and serrano peppers to blender.
  4. Add onion, garlic, avocado and cilantro to blender.
  5. Blend for about a minute or until the salsa is well blended.
  6. Transfer to a bowl and season with salt and lime juice to taste.
  7. Stir and serve.
  8. Enjoy! Refrigerate any leftover salsa
