Old Fashioned Rice Pudding Recipe
Old Fashioned Rice Pudding can be served for either breakfast or dessert.It's delicious, comforting and inexpensive!

vanilla extract

ground cinnamon and nutmeg for garnishing

Bring rice, butter, salt and 2 cups of water to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer until water is absorbed about 20 min.

Remove rice from heat and let cool down completely.

Once rice has cooled transfer it to a greased or buttered casserole dish.

Top with raisins(optional).

Preheat oven to 325.

In a large mixing bowl beat eggs for about a minute then add the milk, sugar and vanilla and continue to mix until well combined.

Pour the mixture over the rice and bake in oven for about 2 hours or until the pudding is lightly browned and set.

Garnish with ground cinnamon and nutmeg.
